Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy

Aftermarket parts are specialised, and many of ours are made or ordered specifically for your car. Please check fitment before you order — if you’re unsure, email sales@sequentialracing.com.au with your car’s model and year and we’ll confirm.

This policy has two parts: change-of-mind returns (our own policy) and faulty or incorrect items (your rights under Australian Consumer Law).

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in this policy limits those rights. They apply to all items — including custom, made-to-order, pre-order, sale, clearance and second-hand items.

1. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

If an item is faulty, arrives damaged, is not as described, or isn’t what you ordered:

Contact us as soon as you notice the problem at support@sequentialracing.com.au with your order number, a description of the issue and photos.
For a major problem, you can choose a refund or a replacement. For a minor problem, we’ll repair or replace the item within a reasonable time — and if we don’t, you can ask for a refund.
We cover the reasonable cost of returning a faulty item, and a refund for a faulty item includes the original shipping charge.
Damaged in transit: please let us know within 7 days of delivery so we can lodge a claim with the courier. Reporting later doesn’t remove your rights, but early photos help us resolve it faster.
Installation: we may ask how and by whom the part was fitted, so we can work out the cause. Consumer guarantees don’t cover damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, accidents, or modifying the part after delivery, and neither does our warranty.

2. Change-of-mind returns

We’re happy to accept a change-of-mind return if all of these apply:

you contact us within 2 business days of receiving the item;
the item is unused, uninstalled, unmodified and in its original packaging with all parts, hardware and instructions; and
it is a standard stock item.

Change-of-mind returns are not available for:

custom, made-to-order, special-order or pre-order items made or ordered for you;
clearance, open-box and second-hand items;
services (coding, CarPlay activation, ECU unlock, installation) once started; and
parts ordered for the wrong vehicle — please check fitment with us before ordering.

For change-of-mind returns, you pay the return freight, the original shipping charge isn’t refunded, and a 15% restocking fee is deducted from the refund. The restocking fee never applies to faulty, damaged or incorrect items.

3. How to return an item

Email support@sequentialracing.com.au with your order number and the reason for the return. Proof of purchase can be your order number, order confirmation email or a bank statement.
We’ll confirm and send you the return address and instructions. Please don’t send items back before we confirm.
Once we receive and inspect the item, we’ll process your refund within 3–5 business days to your original payment method, or arrange a repair or replacement.

4. Cancellations

You can cancel an order at no cost before it’s dispatched or, for made-to-order items, before production or the supplier order starts. Once a custom or made-to-order item is in production, it can’t be cancelled for change of mind.

5. Manufacturer warranties

Many brands we stock (for example AWE, Mishimoto, Öhlins and VRSF) offer their own warranties, which are listed on each product page. These are in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. We’ll help you make a warranty claim with the manufacturer.
